Role Overview

The Front-End Developer plays a key role in building and sustaining the digital touchpoints that define the company's online customer experience. This position supports E-Commerce and Marketing goals by creating high-performing, accessible, and visually compelling web experiences that reflect both brand identity and business priorities. The role blends strong technical execution with thoughtful design problem-solving to improve usability, site performance, and conversion across digital channels. Working closely with cross-functional marketing partners, this individual helps deliver consistent, polished digital experiences that contribute to organizational growth and operational effectiveness.

Core Responsibilities

Interface Design & Development

  • Create responsive, mobile-first user interface components and page structures for E-Commerce initiatives, including websites, email marketing assets, and social media-related experiences.
  • Develop and maintain digital content using modern, scalable front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3/SASS, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, or comparable frameworks.
  • Implement intuitive user interface elements that improve site navigation, flow, and overall customer engagement.

User Experience & Performance Optimization

  • Produce wireframes, interactive prototypes, and user journey flows that adhere to brand guidelines and established UI/UX best practices.
  • Execute usability studies, A/B testing, and behavioral data analysis to enhance website effectiveness and conversion performance.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to continuously refine user experience across product detail pages, landing pages, and checkout processes.

Website Operations & Maintenance

  • Collaborate with IT and E-Commerce teams to support, enhance, and troubleshoot website functionality, with a particular focus on CRM integrations such as HubSpot.
  • Oversee and improve site layouts, product page features, and digital merchandising components.
  • Ensure all site changes comply with SEO best practices, accessibility standards, and performance benchmarks.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Work alongside Creative and Brand teams to bring visual designs, style guidelines, and design systems to life in code.
  • Contribute to Marketing initiatives by developing landing pages, promotional site elements, and on-site campaign assets.
  • Take part in project planning discussions, technical reviews, and scope definition sessions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5-7 years of hands-on experience in front-end development, UI/UX implementation, and web design.
  • Demonstrated experience integrating CRM functionality-particularly HubSpot-into web environments.
  • Proven track record of developing and optimizing E-Commerce platforms (experience with Shopify, Hybris/SAP Commerce, Magento, BigCommerce, or headless solutions is a plus).

Technical Expertise

  • Advanced proficiency in HTML5, CSS/SASS, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Strong experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React, Vue, or similar technologies.
  • Solid understanding of responsive design methodologies and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Experience using design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or equivalent platforms.
  • Working knowledge of conversion rate optimization strategies, UX testing tools, and analytics solutions (e.g., GA4, Hotjar).
  • Familiarity with SEO fundamentals, WCAG accessibility guidelines, and web performance optimization techniques.

Preferred Experience

  • Prior experience connecting websites with CRM platforms, especially HubSpot.
  • Hands-on work with CMS platforms such as Storyblok, Contentful, or comparable systems.
  • Familiarity with Salsify or other PIM tools, Algolia search, and headless E-Commerce ecosystems.
  • Experience integrating front-end applications with backend APIs.
  • Background supporting retail, consumer products, or high-volume E-Commerce brands.
